Louis Kindling mit einer seiner Strassenwaschmachinen ...

Louis Kindling is perched on his Henschl made street sweeper. He worked with an Alderman Koenig to import and sell the new devices to the city of Milwaukee. A test of the machine's effectiveness was conducted on Grand Avenue between 5th Street and the Milwaukee River bridge.

The family is well-represented in the local German-American papers. It's even reported that Louis made over 50 trips back to a town near Berlin to visit his mother, the 51st trip when she was 99 years old!
